Systems Analyst - Agile Transformation / Agile Coach Job, Ottawa, ON
 
Modis has a requirement for a Systems Analyst – Agile Transformation/ Agile Coach for one of its government clients based out in Ottawa. This is a won contract and not a RFP/bid.
 
Our client is seeking the assistance of a Systems Analyst who has strong knowledge of System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and who can support the transformation from Waterfall to Agile.
 
Applicants must have enhanced / reliability security clearance.
 
The successful candidate must possess the following skills and experience:
 

  • Must have a minimum of fifteen (15) years professional work experience within the IT field with a minimum of ten (10) years experience as a Systems Analyst.
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience working on IT project(s)
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the software development life cycle including transformation of SDLC for Waterfall to Agile
  • Must have a minimum of five (5) years of experience writing strategies and processes, procedures and technical documents
  • Must have one (1) year experience working with Agile testing methodologies
  • Must have two (2) years experience with various automation tools

 
The following would be considered an asset:
 

  • A minimum of one year (1) experience working with UX testing design
  • A minimum of one year (1) experience working with test data management

 
The tasks will include, but are not limited to:
 

  • Work closely with the business client to identify and understand business needs in order to clearly document the requirements.
  • Review/establish documentation standards and existing project documentation (project charters, project strategies and other related artifacts).
  • Attend and chair meetings, providing minutes and documentation of meetings as required.
  • Define and document the goals, objectives and scope of the IT project .
  • Provide strategies for issue, risk, change, and quality and communication management.
  • Develop status reports and report the progress of the IT project on an ongoing basis.
  • Develop and maintain project plans (including work breakdown structures, timelines, resource plans, training plans and other project related plans).
  • Identify candidate business processes for redesign, prototype, and potential solutions, provide various options and suggest a recommended course of action.
