Scope:  The IT Manager will provide vision and leadership for developing and implementing information technology initiatives coupled with the goals and milestones set by the organization.  The individual will participate in strategic and operational governance processes for the business.  The individual will collaborate with the IT team of the parent company to set global IT Strategy and achieve business goals by fostering innovation, prioritizing initiatives, and coordinating the evaluation, deployment, and management of current and future IT systems across the organization.

  • Oversee all technology operations and evaluate them according to established goals
  • Identify the need for updates and upgrades to existing IT Infrastructure as well as the need for new systems and technology and report to upper management
  • Lead a team of 1-2 direct reports to provide remote and desk side support to 200 users in 5 locations throughout North America
  • Collaborate with the parent company IT  Manager to define and communicate corporate strategy, policies, and standards for acquiring, implementing, and operating IT systems
  • Develop, track and control the IT annual operating and capital budget and develop business case justifications and cost/benefit analysis for IT spending and initiatives
  • Ensure successful delivery of quality solutions within budget that meet or exceed client expectations.
  • Keep current with emerging trends and risks in the IT industry.  Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on their competitive or financial impact
  • Responsible for recruitment, growth and performance management of direct reports


  • University degree
  • 3 years of relevant experience
  • Exposure to food manufacturing and distribution practices is an asset
  • Proven experience in IT planning, organization and development
  • Proven leadership ability and superior analytical, evaluative and problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional project management skills for large technological based strategic initiatives
  • Ability to set and manage priorities with an attention to detail and in a fast paced work environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly language
  • Ability to motivate in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
