Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager
 
JP1355 - Senior Project Manager (57547752)
 
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Ensure a strong understanding of and ability to leverage SLF project management standards across the PM lifecycle.
• Ensure assigned project proposals are positioned for cost/benefit analyses, business case diligence and alignment with technology, business and other appropriate strategies.
• Demonstrate a firm dedication to the project Sponsor's goals and objectives relative to the project.
• Ensure definition and approval of project scope, deliverables, desired quality and measures of success.
• Develop project plans that effectively align scope, time, cost, quality, resources, risk, communication and procurement in a manner that enables highly coordinated execution and control.
• Monitor appropriate risk management practices throughout the project lifecycle; put appropriate mitigation strategies in place.
• Ensure that change, acceptance and approval management is proactively and effectively managed on all projects.
• Ensure that appropriate processes, tools and techniques are used by the project teams
• Ensure that timely communication occurs between project teams and their stakeholders.
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• 5 – 7 years of overall project manager experience; preferably working in a structured PMO and technical environment.
• Experience managing projects which involve 3rd party managed services.
• Experience in leading off-shoring and global projects.
• Experience in managing and negotiating vendor relationships.
• Demonstrated experience managing customer expectations when leading projects.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication; both written and verbal, plus presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to resolve conflicting situations.
• Ability to plan and manage multiple initiatives.
• Effective problem-solving skills.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Project, Visio, Powerpoint and Excel
• Experience in Lotus Notes environment and with Collaboration Tools such as Sharepoint
