Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for an IT Configuration Management Specialist
IT Configuration Management Specialist (58011030)
Contract Duration: (36 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Identification of all artifacts that describe new solutions (SAP S/4HANA and Vehicle Information System) in dev/test and production environments.
• Identification of all OOTB and in-house developed Interfaces among SAP S/4HANA, Vehicle Information System and Integrated Operations Network, BizTalk, Active Directory, Exchange and client legacy business systems.
• Configuration reviews of the release packages to ensure configuration management requirements are met.
• Tracking, control and maintenance of multiple versions of software artifacts across dev/test and production environments.
• Working within centralized IT source code management (TFS) and configuration management system (CA CMDB) leveraging knowledge and skills in source code change control and versioning, build and deployment engineering.
• Participation in program configuration control meetings to discuss release scope and/or roadblocks.
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Extensive knowledge and certification in Configuration Management.
• 3+ years of experience in software release and configuration management processes
• Technical background with understanding of hardware, network, clustering, virtualization, operating systems, database management systems, authentication systems, email systems.
• Profound knowledge of the client-server system architecture (n-tier), database-centric system architecture, service-oriented system architecture and component based software engineering.
• Post-secondary degree/diploma in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science or the equivalent, combined with several years of related work experience.
• Excellent analytical skills and structured approach to problem solving.
• Effective team player with a willingness to deal with challenges, new issues, etc.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks at any given time.
