Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Project Financial Analyst
 
Project Financial Analyst (58054040)
 
Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Manage adhoc action plans for various coordination efforts (eg. AI Budget and YEE, Asset productivity)
• Prime to build effective data collecting process and validation budget results
• Manage and prepare budget targets and movements
• Analyses YEE variances with Delivery PMs
• Monitors monthly YEE program leveraging planners in delivery teams. Identify gaps, analyze gaps and propose solutions and explanations of variances.  Shared accountability with the delivery PMs to improve overall YEE quality and predictability (for capex, opex vendors.)
• Performs historical analysis, trends and propose improvements for financial management
• Knowns the numbers inside and out and how they evolve
• Prepare and analyze monthly actual program results Capital and Expense
• Reports on forecast to actuals and variances monthly and leads monthly comprehensive YEE variance analysis
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• SAP and Excel and PowerPoint Advance knowledge and Skills
• Relentless attention to detail and accuracy
• Solid understanding of accounting and financial principles
• Understand subscriber metrics and financial information
• Read and write financial results
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of information
• Establish processes to ensure simplicity and integrity of consolidated information
• Proven ability to manage successful business relationships with peers in various departments and at different levels of management
• Proven facilitation skills
• Excellent communication skills both oral and written
• Strong planning and organization skills
• Proven leadership skills
• Good understanding of IT  
• Ability to manage ambiguity, uncertainty and constant changing priorities
• Strong interpersonal skills and sense of team spirit
• Ability to understand complex information
• Ability to articulate concepts and issues in a simple and concise manner
• Ability to present and communicated complex information
• Personality that excels under pressure and constantly improves and strives for perfection.
• Working knowledge of financial tools (PEATS, eSpace)
• Bilingualism is an asset
• Any experience in the System Technology and project environment is looked at favorably
• Base level understanding of the Telecommunications industry.
