Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Business Analyst
Business Analyst (58282306)
Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Collaborate with Purchasing, Information Technology (IT) and other departments to identify, document and communicate business needs
• Assist with the development of IT procurement policies and procedures
• Assist with the procurement and implementation of the new P2P, IPP, and Operational Efficiencies solutions
• Migrate all existing and new IT contracts to the client’s Bonfire portal
• Research, gather, analyze and capture business and technical requirements and specifications
• Collaborate with the Purchasing team to manage all required competitive procurement processes, including Requests for Quotation and/or Proposal, submission evaluations, awards, contracts and purchase orders
• Organize and chair site meetings and proponent interviews
• Provide additional project oversight, as needed
• Assist the Manager, Purchasing and Administration, in developing the Board Award Report as required
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum of five (5) years of IT business analyst experience, including a minimum of two (2) years of direct IT procurement experience (e.g., hardware/software, SaaS/cloud-based solutions, professional services)
• Certification from a recognized Purchasing program or an approved equivalent combination of education and/or experience
• Demonstrated experience defining business and system requirements and specifications
• Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with corporate clients, vendors, and team members
• Superior teamwork, interpersonal, organizational and facilitation skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Very strong competency with MS Office Suite (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Knowledge of the principles, practices and procedures of effective procurement
• Demonstrated ability to be an effective representative of the client and its Purchasing Department when dealing with people from outside the organization
