Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Business Analyst
JP1399 - Business Analyst (58309873)
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Waterloo, ON
• Partner with business, vendors, leaders, and cross-functional teams to ensure quality solutions that meet the needs and expectations of our business partners and clients.
• Establish and maintain trusted advisor roles with clients by gathering and analyzing information to provide recommendations that address and resolve business issues.
• Assume ownership of incidents and ensure they are managed to resolution through effective coordination of resources, appropriate escalation and meeting facilitation.
• Assist operational support in resolution of day-to-day production issues from gathering requirements through root cause analysis. Includes developing action plans to deliver timely solutions, while adhering to Service Level Agreements and the client’s security/compliance standards to reduce business impact.
• Collaborate with project teams to solve complex, cross-account business problems with long-term implications.
• Consult as a business domain or system application expert. Recognize and escalate issues / gaps / collisions that impact across projects and domains.
• Lead, motivate, support and coach team members by providing guidance that is appropriate for their knowledge and skill level.
• Champion Investment Operations role by actively leading and contributing to continuous improvements within the team’s best practices.
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a Business Systems Analyst or Operations Analyst role in an IT environment
• Strong knowledge of Business Analysis principles, best practices, and industry tools
• Good understanding of systems development lifecycle.
• Exposure to Database Management Systems: Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle Database
• Familiar with Operating Systems: Windows, Mainframe
• Experience with utilizing MS Office products effectively
• Investment asset management and administrative knowledge.
• Experience working with Third Party vendors.
• Experience working in a matrix environment, onshore/offshore IT model
