Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Business Analyst
Business Analyst (59465464)
Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Capturing, documenting, designing, optimizing and re-engineering business processes in advance of CRM implementations
• Capturing detailed requirements for CRM and working with the business teams and IT PMO to make tradeoffs on scope, time and cost
• Coordinating vendor and client team activities
• Working with Enterprise Architecture (EA), IT PMO and business teams to balance the immediate delivery needs with the longer term strategic objectives
• Working with the vendor and the client to ensure solution will meet the business needs and requirements
• Coordinating and managing project activities as necessary
• Identifying opportunities and providing recommendations for process integration across lines of business or business capabilities
• Working with business and IT teams on strategy and planning in relation to major IT initiatives
• Documenting current state processes including inefficiencies and output metrics such as cost, time, etc.
• Benchmarking processes against industry standards, frameworks and other reference models
• Documenting existing state and identifying opportunities for improvements for the production of information
• Producing business process improvements and re-engineering including quantifying the benefits and efficiency gains
• Applying process improvement methodologies to identify and achieve targeted future states
• Identifying current state baselines and target performance metrics for future state by identifying business value associated with each process improvement
• Identifying and documenting data sources mapping as related to each process
• Performing detailed business requirements and business process analysis in support of CRM solution strategies and business cases
• Understanding the general direction of the business units and helping the business and IT teams formulate roadmaps in relation to both processes, technologies and human resources
• Understanding the core business and operating models, and capturing understanding in business model/strategy, operating model and concept of operations documents
• Making formal presentations to senior management, organize and conduct meetings
• Performing stakeholder analysis to ensure individual and departmental requirements are met
Required Qualifications/Experience
• University degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Engineering
• 10 years of business consulting experience
• 5 years of project management experience
• 5 years of experience as a business and/or process analyst for moderate to large CRM implementations with major CRM package vendors (e.g. MS Dynamics, SAP,
• Experience with CRM call center implementation either as a process analyst or in a management capacity
• Familiarity and understanding of KPI (Key Performance Indicator) analysis and performance measurement
• Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change
• Experience in dealing with complex business problems, identifying business/functional user requirements and recommending how to best support them through processes and applications
• Ability to have influence without authority, and a strong ability to sell recommendations and solutions by stating advantages and value in business terms
• High level written, verbal communications skills and ability to manage and influence stakeholders
• Working knowledge of PMI project management methodology
• Expert knowledge of MS Office tools (Access, Excel, Word, and Power Point), MS Project, and Visio, as well as Oracle Primavera P6
