Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Business Analyst
Business Analyst (59629362)
Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Gathering, documenting and validating business requirements and producing business requirements document
• Identifying functional requirements and creating functional requirements documents, Identifying and creating system designs
• Working with IT service management process owners to define and create process and policies documentation
• Coordinating and participating in IT service management system configuration, testing and implementation
• Serving as a liaison between technical teams and business users
• Preparing and training material and training plans, executing training
• Coordinating post-implementation support during warranty period
• Authoring of RFP documents as required under the client’s procurement process
• Analysis of vendor responses to RFPs including providing input on vendor selection based on meeting business needs
• Analysis for, and creation of business cases and other associated documents in order to justify funding of new projects
• Working with business subject matter experts to assess current state, identifying process gaps and making recommendations on future state improvements
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Bachelor Degree or better in Business, Computing Engineering or Science, or related discipline
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as a business or process analyst
• Experience in dealing with complex business problems, identifying business/functional requirements and recommending how to best support them through processes and applications.
• Major IT implementation experience and understanding how systems are affected by business process change.
• Experience in implementing Asset Management and Change and Configuration using CA ITSM tools
• Extensive knowledge of business and systems development from methodology through analysis, design, development, implementation and production support
• Strong leadership and influencing skills, self-motivated and is willing to work under pressure
• Experience with formal process notation such as BPMN-2.0 is an asset
• Familiarity and understanding of performance measurement and Key Performance Indicator (KPI) definition/analysis
• Ability to have influence without authority, and a strong ability to sell recommendations and solutions by stating advantages and value in business terms
• ITIL, PMP and/or CBAP certifications are an asset.
