Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a QA Test Analyst

QA Test Analyst (59815170)

Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON

Responsibilities:

• Meet with representatives from the project teams to gather information regarding business and technical requirements
• Conduct an analysis of systems and business processes
• Review detailed project documentation such as project charter and project plans (e.g. costs, schedules, risk, quality, etc.);
• Develop QA strategies and test plans describing how to test the business processes and expected functional experience
• Review business and technical requirements documentation to create test cases that support the functional and technical requirements
• Develop time estimates and schedules for the stated above activities
• Ensure that QA documentation is thorough, according to established templates, capturing the expected user experience, listing required input validations, containing functional/non-functional tests to be performed
• Report test results formally in test results documentation
• Log defects and issues in Team Foundation Server
• Complete activities report on a weekly basis
• Maintain status and records of application test progress on a weekly basis
• Assist with DEV/UAT testing as required
• Keep the Project Lead/QA Lead and/or Project Manager informed of ongoing activities and any deviations from established schedule

Required Qualifications/Experience

• 5+ Years of experience with Financial enterprise financial software e.g. (IFS, SAP, etc)
• Previous experience with Financial and Supply Chain applications
• Previous experience in Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Inventory and Purchasing
• Solid understanding of System Development Life Cycle
• Knowledge of testing methodologies.
• Solid experience in executing testing and analyzing the results.
• Knowledge and experience in tracking problems and defects
• Experience in client server applications testing including windows client and thin client (web based) applications.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• University/Community College degree in Computer Science/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
• Familiar with ITIL principles
