Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Decommission Coordinator
Decommission Coordinator (60576602)
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Validate requests to ensure that all the required information was provided by using various tools
• Gather specific articles of information required for audit purposes and file them according to specific naming convention
• Schedule and coordinate the decommissioning or disposal by creating Change tickets and managing their transition through the change live cycle to completion
• Schedule vendor activities for the decommission or disposal of the servers
• Collect additional articles of information so that the decommissioning or disposal of servers is performed for audit purposes and file them according to specific naming convention
• Follow up with resources and vendors to ensure decommissioning or disposal tasks on Change tickets were performed and updated accordingly
• Follow up with vendors to ensure that the disposal of the hardware was performed
• Update and close Change tickets to meet compliance with Enterprise Change Management processes
• Provide status updates to the project teams
• Ensure that all Data Centre Infrastructure Service required articles collected are file as per DCIS specific naming convention on network drive
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Service Now – CMDB
• DCIS Inventory
• Google Database Search
• MAP -Managed Architecture Portfolio
• Data Centre Infrastructure Service SharePoint site
• Server Decommission Information Form_V 1.6 form
• Knowledge and understanding of Change Management Process
• Must have technical knowledge of server hardware and data centre environment.
• Excellent communication and organization skills
• Must be adaptive to process changes and learn quickly and contribute operationally
