Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Junior Digital Information Officer
 
Junior Digital Information Officer (60616876)
 
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Improving how the public interacts with the client as an organization and its Open Data brand
• Improving how the public interacts with the client’s various Open Data products and services
• Designing and improving the client's various Open Data products and services to ensure they are accessible and usable by as many people as reasonably possible
• Developing content to support the client's Open Data program using a variety of digital media including, but not limited to, audio and visual
• Coordinating and facilitating various Open Data related events and outreach activities using a wide variety of media channels including, but not limited to, community forums and digital marketing campaigns
• Data analytics: using raw information to support data exploration and discovery leading to presentation of useful insights that can support decision making
• Data presentation: clear and efficient communication of information using relevant data storytelling and visualization techniques
• Other duties as needed to fulfill the overall goals of the organization and project
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• 1+ years of experience working on web development projects.
• 1+ years of experience in making Customer Experience (CX) improvements to a large organization's brand
• 1+ years of experience in making User Experience (UX) improvements to a large organization's products and/or services
• 1+ years of experience designing accessible and intuitive digital media content
• 1+ years of experience designing accessible, intuitive, executive-level dashboards using relevant data visualization techniques
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, facilitation, presentation, and digital literacy skills
• Experience working with user experience, digital media, and data visualization tools
• Proficiency with MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint)
• Knowledge of Inclusive Design principles and the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.X as applied to digital content
• Knowledge of civic issues, municipal government business services, and government open data
