Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for an Information Security Analyst
Information Security Analyst (60892983)
Contract Duration: (9 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Conduct compliance or regulatory audits
• Assists with development and implementation of compliance verification and audit preparedness tasks and follow-ups
• Create contract components for third party companies that will perform risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, penetration tests, security audits on other client contracted companies and/or client solutions
• Assist with development, implementation and documentation of security related operational processes and procedures for networks, systems, applications, data security and privacy in accordance with ISO27002
• Conduct penetration and vulnerability testing
• Conduct Web application scanning
• Developing and improving methods for analysis and detection of security threats
• Security Incident handling (CERT)
• Investigate security incidents within the clients' IT environment
• Familiar with current and emerging threats
• Provide technical assistance with project related security matters
• Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in information security
• Experience in IT regulations and compliance standards such as PCI DSS, ISO27002 framework and industry IT Security best practices
• Extensive IT technical skills and knowledge is required with demonstrated experience in assessments / auditing, network security, application security and system integration
• The candidate must have strong knowledge of risks and controls related to databases, IT platforms, operating systems, network services and enterprise applications
• Experience with treat assessments, vulnerability analysis, information gathering, correlating and reporting
• Strong experience with Microsoft infrastructure and MS Office tools, Linux, Cisco ASA etc
• SCADA knowledge preferred
• Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) is an absolute must have as well as strong business acumen, professionalism and respect for confidentiality
• An ability to communicate complex and technical issues to diverse audiences, orally and in writing, in an easily-understood manner
• Self-motivated; proactive in thought and planning. Eagerly assumes responsibility for things that need to be done, including following up with team members and leadership on outstanding items
• Strong organization, prioritization and rationalization skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team
• College or University in Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field
