Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Senior Business Analyst
Senior Business Analyst (61035307)
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Create/document/update/maintain procedures and requirements (specification, general system design, analysis documents, reports etc.)
• Works with business leads to identify existing infrastructure asset management plans with key stakeholders.
• Communicate status, issues and risk to management team.
• Ensure all business area requirements are met through working with all key stakeholders, industry best practices, and alignment with provincial regulation and Federal programs.
• Design or modify, by collaborating and consulting with divisional representatives and project stakeholders, business processes to derive more efficient service delivery to support client programs and initiatives.
• Elicit and document current and future state business process work flows.
• Participate in collaborative sessions to document business processes.
• Ensure that the analysis is aligned with best industry practices.
• Liaise between delivery teams, business stakeholders and users to ensure implementation governance.
• Identify risks and issues among different stakeholders during the analysis.
• Perform requirements management and provide traceability of requirements to business objectives and benefits.
• Communicate status, issues and risk to management team.
• Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications/Experience
• Previous municipal or provincial government experience.
• Minimum of two (2) years' experience in analyzing and / or developing corporate Asset Management Plans.
• Minimum of five (5) years' experience leading projects in a Sr. Business Analyst role.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate at all organizational levels.
• Well-developed written and technical writing skills with demonstrated experience writing business cases, briefing notes, presentations, business and technical requirements for procurement.
• Strong critical thinking skills, with demonstrated judgement in public and personal relations.
• Ability to plan, prioritize, organize assignments and work with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work well independently as well as within a team environment.
• Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) certification or similar equivalent and related certification preferred.
• ISO5500 or related certification preferred.
• Masters level education preferred.
