What will you do as a Resource Development Manager?

  • The Technical Recruiter / Resource Development Manager (RDM) is responsible for making connections and developing relationships with IT professionals who may be a good fit for assignment with Modis’ clients.
  • RDMs are expected to source qualified IT candidates daily.
  • Modis relies on the judgment of the RDM to accurately qualify the candidates, negotiate a rate that is profitable for Modis, and secure the candidate’s commitment to take the assignment.
  • RDMs maintain and further develop relationships with the IT consultants to build a long lasting commitment to Modis.
  • Responsibilities include:  Sourcing candidates; Qualifying candidates; Negotiating pay rates; Consultant sign-up; Client/manager facilitation; Consultant relationship-building; Database maintenance.

 
What will prepare you for success as a Resource Development Manager?

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Qualified candidates should have 1-3+ yrs experience in a staffing, sales or business environment.  Previous experience in IT or technical staffing is a huge asset but is not required.
  • Ideal candidates will have a basic understanding of various technologies and IT verbiage.  
  • Candidates must possess exceptional communication and phone skills, a great personality, strong organization skills and a strong desire to succeed.
  • Should have a high level understanding of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
