Our Winnipeg, Manitoba based client is looking for an “Implementation Analyst” for a 11 Months Extendable contract role in Winnipeg.
The Implementation Analyst will be expected to perform the following duties:
• Participate as a member of the Project team which will include:
o Liaise with business stakeholders to continue to elicit, identify and document business requirements;
o Perform process analysis and recommend the necessary process changes to support the new assessment rate setting model;
o Perform appropriate technical analysis to support necessary changes to the IT systems to support the implementation of the new assessment rate setting model into the environment;
o Assist with implementation issues that arise while running the new assessment rate setting model calculator to produce the 2018 rates;
o Develop business process workflows; as well as identify issues/weaknesses or opportunities for improvement; and
o Participate  in  peer  reviews  to  review  documentation  and  ensure  it  meets expected quality, completeness, and appropriate detail level;
• Lead and participate in the testing cycle  - Document test plans, test cases and perform testing;  Assist with the creation and managing of test data; Develop  user  acceptance  criteria  and  perform  user  acceptance  testing,  as needed; Assist with integration, system, and performance/load testing; and Maintain and keep requirements and specification documentation up to date;
• Participate in peer reviews to review documentation and ensure it meets expected quality, completeness, and appropriate detail level;
• Participate in design discussions with actuarial developers and Project team where appropriate;
• Provide input and participate in conducting training and awareness of deliverables;
Mandatory Requirements
• Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in information technology as a senior analyst with responsibility for requirements, analysis, design, and quality assurance/control in a project or support/maintenance and system enhancement environment;
• Strong business communication and presentation skills;
• Strong technical knowledge and ability to communicate and understand technical concepts;
• Strong influencing and team leadership skills;
• Ability to work with a team of software developers, quality assurance specialists or business analysts
• Good understanding on how technological solutions can support business processes
• Knowledge of business enterprise applications in a corporate environment Ability to perform work according to clients standards, procedures, policies, and practices, including but not limited to, source code management, release management, incident management and others
• Strong knowledge of process redesign principles and best practices
• Good time management skills and ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities;
• Knowledge of project management tools and principles;
• Knowledge of system design principles;
• Knowledge of MS Access
• Experience analyzing and designing the integration of two (2) or more applications or systems
• Experience working with insurance rate setting tools and principles
• Knowledge of actuarial practices and principles
• Good understanding of the business processes;
• Knowledge of business and/or testing processes
• Experience working with financial or insurance systems
