Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for an Intermediate Project Manager
 
Intermediate Project Manager (57367416)
 
Contract Duration: (18 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Integrating plans from multiple team leads with a focus on both project change management and organizational change impacts administration
• Participating and managing using a variety of Waterfall/Agile lifecycles and adherence to organization’s Project Management Methodology
• Integration and optimization of vendor tools, processes and information repositories with associated knowledge transfer to the organization
• Overall tracking of dependency/precedents for project change request impacts
• Management of project resources to ensure alignment to project plan and deliverables
• Day to day direction to the team leads and project management including project related communications, status reports, RAID log/risk register management, escalation of issues
• Running and facilitating project status meetings and project reporting.
• Delivery of the project scope within budget and timelines
• Ensure appropriate resources are assigned to critical program tasks
• Ensure change management concerns related to policies, procedures, job changes, training requirements are resolved
• Management of scope change within defined thresholds and escalation to project lead
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• University Degree in related field and PMP, CSM and/or CSPO designation
• 5-7 years’ experience in an enterprise project environment directing functional and technical teams
• Demonstrated ability in managing complex projects that are strategic in nature
• Experience in the education sector, preferred but not mandatory
• Experience with HRMS or ERP implementations with a focus on risk management
• Vendor Management Experience, particularly with time and materials/deliverables based resource management
• Excellent organizational skills with demonstrated ability to execute projects on time and on budget and experience managing integrated hybrid project models such as waterfall and agile
• Ability to liaise with the organization to support progress on the project tasks and issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the capability of providing leadership to a diverse project team
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
