Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Project Manager
 
Project Manager (58632624)
 
Contract Duration: (6 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Manage project to optimize delivery of the product increments aligned to business priorities, budget and timeframe constraints
• Collaborates with colleagues across the organization to get things done.
• Communicate project status with key stakeholders and between Agile labs
• Assess and manage risk, dependency and issue mitigation within project
• Maintain key relationships with the program manager, product owners, IT leads and operational subject matter experts to ensure strong alignment for optimal delivery
• Work with the client to facilitate the release of the newly developed application, including infrastructure and environments setup, application deployment and configuration, post release activities
• Engage with client stakeholders to execute rollout activities on time (e.g., trainers, support desk, IT teams etc.)
• Role model culture and adoption of Agile working practices
• Candid collaboration: willing to challenge and debate with passion and empowers and coaches the team to make decisions
• Coaching: Works with various members of the team to align to Agile processes
• Act and iterate: comfortable working with ambiguity, knows when is “good enough” and able to pivot quickly
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• Strong IT Project management experience (project plans, reporting, risk and issues escalation, communication)
• Ability to structure and solve problems under ambiguity
• Sufficient IT knowledge/aptitude to interface with lab-based teams
• Experience and comfort delivering a project in true agile fashion, where some requirements are iteratively defined
• Experience coordinating resources from various teams in a matrix environment
• Experience liaising between teams using waterfall methodology on legacy systems and agile teams to meet product objectives
• Ability to inspire, motivate and drive execution
• Experience in data management related change programs within custodian, fund administrator or asset manager
• First experience with Agile methodology and concept
• Ability to communicate with impact
• Good understanding of IT architecture, data management and technology concepts
