Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
• Lead diverse, cross-functional teams in the delivery of large, complex projects within a regulatory environment
• Effective work, schedule and financial planning and management of the projects ensuring delivery of expected outcomes in accordance with cost and schedule objectives
• Engage and align with the key stakeholders obtaining active participation in the project from all business partners
• Establish effective project oversight and other governance bodies; engage the correct levels to support the direction for the project
• Build strong relationships with partners and lead effective and highly motivated teams using collaborative approaches and influence
• Navigate the organization to build strong networks, engage resources and deliver results
• Provide timely and effective communications to all stakeholders on the project status, issues and risks
• Understanding the value to the customer and ensuring the project maintains focus on delivering this value
• Deliver and own project outcomes that are aligned to established cost, timing, deliverable and scope objectives
• Proactively identifies and tracks project risk and develops mitigation plans to manage risk (i.e., risk related to technology, change management, procurement, business process management, requirements management)
• Develop innovative approaches to create solutions to resolve problems and significant issues within the project’s mandate
• Own project financials including data quality and accuracy in financial reporting
• Support vendor management and strategic sourcing process, managing RFP activities and partnering with vendor(s) to ensure efficient and effective project delivery
• Works in close partnership with Finance and key stakeholders for monthly reporting requirements (i.e., Finance, Status, Issues Management)
• Effective management of project resources and external contractors / consultants in coordination of competing priorities
Required Qualifications/Experience
• 8-10+ years’ experience as a Project Manager managing cross-functional projects in a matrix environment
• Project Management experience from the digital channels and/or financial industry (preferably with experience on interactive transfer and enhancements on how data is transferred using interact)
• Excellent understanding of Rapid/Agile and PDLC (waterfall)
• Experience with delivery of large, complex, cross-functional projects involving: Business Process Change Management, Marketing, Communications and Training and Development
• Experience managing 3rd party service providers and develop and monitor of Statements of Work (SOW)
• Understand technology and business aspects of a project (able to translate tech. terminology to business side)
• Financial management of large projects $1-10MM+ (building budget, financials, forecasts)
