Modis, on behalf of our client is looking for a Senior Project Manager
 
Senior Project Manager (59999682)
 
Contract Duration: (12 months)
Location: Toronto, ON
 
Responsibilities:
 
• Supports the plan, design and implementation of the changes (remediation and new development) to the client’s Information Management landscape for the impact of the new Rate Framework
• Defining project scope, goals and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Identify and define client requirements for the purpose of ensuring the solution meets business needs
• Manage and track all project deliverables with focus to drive towards meeting Requirements Traceability Matrix, Project Exit/Closeout criteria and Project Success factors
• Create, execute and control plans, and manage the change control process
• Manage vendors in an outsourced environment working with both on-shore and off-shore resources
• Manage and mitigate impact of all identified project risks and issues
• Follows methodology as set by the PMO based on PMI PMBOK / Waterfall and Agile methodologies
• Participates in and facilitates project governance and project status meetings
• Develops/distributes status reports as required
• Responsible for working groups and committees as required
• Be a Liaison and integration between business lines and technology
• Identifying and evaluating current and future change requirements
• Motivate and lead project teams to work as a cohesive unit and ensure the completeness of projects by cultivating relationships with operational staff, consultants and management.
 
Required Qualifications/Experience
 
• 5+ years of direct experience as a Project Manager leading complex enterprise-wide IT/IM initiatives
• 7 + years of experience with Business Intelligence methodologies and related technologies, including relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server), ETL (e.g. SAP BODs, IBM DataStage) and Enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions (e.g. Cognos)
• 7+ years of professional SDLC experience in leading the development and implementation of enterprise reporting and analytical solutions
• 2+ years vendor management experience
• Demonstrated leadership skills with ability to influence, negotiate and lead a team to achieve results
• Excellent coaching and relationship management skills
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to lead a team, provide clear directives and effectively communicate goals and objectives
• Post-secondary degree in Computer Science or related IT field
• PMP certification is an asset
• Experience using project management software and tools (e.g. Microsoft Project) is an asset
• Insurance Industry experience is an asset
• Knowledge of change/risk management
